The Society for Environment and Education (SEE) was founded in 2010 by Dr. Ellam Ramakrishna, who dedicated his life in preserving the environment and preventing its degradation. As a non-profit organization, SEE is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 and receives support through CSR funding. SEE is also aided by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. It is recognized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UFCCC) under the United Nations Organization (UNO), Germany.
The Society for Environment and Education (SEE) was founded in 2010 in Kerala, India. The head office is located in Alappuzha, Kerala. A second office was established in Kolkata, West Bengal in 2016, and a third office was established in Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands in 2019.
SEE is supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and partners with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UFCCC) and Save Earth Mission. It collaborates with various state governments and international agencies for projects in environmental awareness, waste management, biodiversity conservation, urban development, and more. SEE also works with schools and colleges in multiple states and contributes to programs like WASH (with UNICEF) and DESD (with UNESCO).
SEE encourages youth to join the fast-growing environmental sector, projected to reach a $100 trillion industry by 2030, surpassing sectors like banking, IT, and manufacturing. Opportunities in this sector are currently underexplored, offering high potential and low competition. Roles include work in sustainability, green energy, and carbon credit management. With high salaries, stress-free environments, and job satisfaction, the environmental sector offers a dream career path for passionate individuals.
SEE, in collaboration with Save Earth Mission and under the CSR funding panel, plans recruitment drives for Assistant Officer (Environmental Management) across several states. These officers will support India's target to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2070. The recruitment process will include online exams with instant results, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
Newly recruited Assistant Officers will serve on a two-year contract. The first-year salary is ₹25,000/month, increasing to ₹27,500 in the second year. Upon satisfactory performance, contracts are renewed or regularized. Officers receive a Welcome Kit with a laptop, software, 5G dongle, handbook, and ID card. While not central government employees, their salaries and allowances are on par. Work begins remotely, later transitioning to assigned local areas.
